Beantown

I came back from my lunch run today to find this little gift aka "reminder" sitting on my chair....YIKES!!

I can't believe Boston is a little over 3 weeks out. It's definitely going to be a tough day out there with my serious drop in mileage the last month. This whole heel / plantar fasciitis issue blew up right at the wrong time. I'm going to try and get in one or two more 20 milers before the end of this month...while trying to nurse this heel / PF issue.

Exciting times ahead!

*Peace*

Boston is a little over 3 weeks away, you're having heal/plantar pain, and you're going to try and get in "a couple" of 20 milers in the next 9 days?

hang in there, mike. i'm fighting pf, too. its usually ok once i'm warmed up though. i'd say "a couple" was probably too many too. just take it easy and rest up for the big day.

The others beat me to it - don't overdo it trying to catch up on the mileage. One long run should do the trick. If it doesn't work out, just do Boston for fun, not for time.

Goodluck with the recovery. Didn't know you were having a few issues there.

Tough times, Mike. Do what you gotta do, but keep yourself healthy for the big day. I hope the heel/pf issues disappear pronto.

Go get it done in Boston, my friend.

However...my one word of caution...keep the BIG picture in mind. And Boston is not in it, I don't think? I beleive Penticton is, though. Right?

Be careful...now is not the time to be laid up for 4-6 weeks.

Sounds likea great time in Seattle! Good weather for it also.
Hope the heel/pf goes away. Jodi's site had a medicine "flurbiprofin/ketoprofin" that I got at Kaiser that really helped my pf.
